PLOT
It's summertime and the camp leaders at Camp Placid Pines have their hands full with preparing before the kids arrive... But someone else has prepared for the camp leaders to arrive. This time the local legend Trevor Moorhouse isn't out to steal cats or destroy cars, this time he's out for revenge!
REVIEW
I can't believe I made it through a second time of watching this movie, and another thing I can't believe is that this time, I enjoyed it! After having seen Death Factory I thought to myself 'Oh this was rubbish but Bloody Murder was worse' and now that I've seen Bloody Murder again, I can honestly say that it's not as bad as I remembered it to be, and it's definitely not worse than Death Factory (which I won't even bother reviewing because of the poor poor story mixed with a really horrible acting cast mixed with the worst gore effects ever mixed with the ultimate ugly killer)
The acting in this movie is totally acceptable, it's not bad but it's not good, well some of the actors are average and some are truly bad. The directing is also nothing over the ordinary and feels quite boring and average. Sometimes it feels as if the movie could've looked as if it was made on a higher budget than it was as they could've removed some cheesy scenes, for example the kitchen scenes, which looked totally cheesy, but I guess I just think that because they kind of reminded me of Head Cheerleader Dead Cheerleaders ending.
This movie has many flaws indeed, for example, the guy says that they were watching Sleepover Massacre 14 but infact I'm positive that I saw a clip from Fever Lake in the movie that they were watching. Another flaw is when the kind of longhaired guy gets a dart arrow through his stomach, the dart arrow is very short as you have seen it before but all of a sudden it seems to have extracted, you can see the dart through the stomach and out through the back, I say, that's the longest dart arrow I have ever seen.
GORE
If this movie had some gore in it, people would probably like it more, cause the lack of gore is just terrible, all we get is like some arrows through stomachs and a slit throat, common, what is that chainsaw for anyway Trevor?
SOUNDTRACK
The soundtrack starts off quite promising with some unknown pop track but rapidly changes from some eerie kind of piano music to like guitar porno mood music, what the hell was that all about?
BOTTOM LINE
Watch this a couple of times and it will get better, oh and ignore the fact that it rips of Friday the 13th completely... Let's face it, if this would've been made before Friday The 13th, this would have been just as loved as the F13th series are today, or am I wrong? I wouldn't go buy this movie but if there's nothing else in the rental place you should check it out, who knows, perhaps you're one of the few who'll like it.
